X6 Ultrabase w/closed lid

#1 Post by whoisjohngalt » Fri Aug 11, 2006 12:52 pm

I don't have my monitor yet, but I'm going to get the 17" Dell Ultrasharp (which I'll have to connect analog, ugh), and was wondering if there was a setting you have change in order to prevent the computer from going into sleep mode once the lid is closed. Whenever I close it normally, it goes into sleep, even in the docking station. Will it do this when a monitor is plugged in too?

Control Panel>Power Options>Advanced>When I close the lid of my personal computer is the setting you need.

You can use the switch on the ultrabase to power the system on when the lid is closed and it would default to the external monitor without changing the above setting.
