#1 Post by frogboy51 » Sun Aug 15, 2004 6:08 pm

For those that have the T42, with 14.1 screen. Did you order the size 3 sleeve, or the size 4 sleeve.

Thanks,
Al ..

We host Tom's web site so I feel somewhat qualified to answer.

The size 3 Brain Cell should fit perfectly your T42, even with the extended battery.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Now I just have to figure out if I should get that or the monolith. I assume the sizes are the same for the 14.1" T42? I'm thinking of keepign it in my knapsack, so maybe the monolith, but when I carry it seperately...

thoughts?

Good question. I know the Brain Cell has good protection on the bottom, but I'm not 100% sure about the Monolith. Tell you what - I'll ask them tomorrow. We host their web site so I get to talk to Tom and couple girls at their office all the time. I'll report back tomorrow (Monday).

Okay, Darcy from tombihn.com just confirmed that the Monolith has hard protection on all sides, including the bottom. The bottom also gets an extra layer of absorbant foam to lessen any impact on the laptop, while you put the bag down.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your new bag! :D

Will the Size 3 fit a T42 w/6 cell battery AND the power supply? Is there room left for anything else?

Why don't you call them? They have their phone numbers published on their web site (www.tombihn.com)

I'm using the Size 4 with my T42P with 14.1 screen. In my opinion, if you're not using the extended battery, the size 4 would be a much better fit. It won't allow movement inside the bag, ensuring better protection. It fits my Thinkpad as if it were custom designed for it. It also allows me to carry the power supply, mouse, and extended battery in the mesh compartment. It bulges, but still fits.
