Recomended Registry Cleaners?

#1 Post by Dead1nside » Fri Aug 11, 2006 7:54 pm

Hey guys, I was wandering if you could recommend some registry cleaners as I think cleaning this up might be helpful. My machine after just regular maintenace (desktop machine) is getting a bit slow. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for that. I remember reading that thread sometime ago, I should have paid better attention. Keep them coming, please.

I'm currently using Registry Mechanic. Quite good I would say....with user friendly interface and really did what it says.

The freeware program RegCleaner by Jouni Vuorio is excellent.

The Registry Mechanic trial will find the problems, but only fix a few, because of its trial limitations. I like the program, but haven't taken the leap into paying for it.

If you do get it, please post your opinion of it.

CCleaner is what I use and it does a pretty good job of it.

At some point, I will try to get copies of the other registry cleaners and compare them. :)

RegSeeker IMO is the most thorough freeware registry cleaner.

If I get time I'll do a comparison of them all.

i like ccleaner as well. i used to use registry mechanic, but at some point i found out it just wasnt doing anything helpful. it seems to me like ccleaner actually does something- i run the [censored] thing 5 times a day.
