Help me with a smoother scroller

I just got a x24 and seems to be working fine. I downloaded new updates on windows and also from the ibm website. The thing I cant figure out is when I scroll down or up on my mouse, it just lags. Not as smooth like I had my T41. Is this the way they made the x24, please someone help me out, Im getting a headace.

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums :)

Open up the UltraNav Wizard, then select the scrolling type for the Trackpoint; there should be three options, pick the one that says "Smooth scrolling" and you should end up with the 4-point scrolll cursor when you scroll with the Trackpoint MMB and Trackpoint.
