Having trouble with NEC 20WMGX^2 and T43

Hello,

My graphics card is the X200 Radeon.

Okay, I bought myself the big lcd, the optimum resolution is 1680x1050.

I am using the DVI port on the dock, my dock is the one with 4 usb ports. (Mini dock?)

I can run both the ibm lcd and the nec lcd if I use the extended desktop feature. In this case, the main lcd runs at 1400x1050 as it should and the NEC runs at 1680x1050 as it should. This is fine!

The trouble starts if I close the lid of the IBM. The NEC changes to 1400x1050 and that is the max I can go.

Please help me!

Also, is there anyway that I can make the NEC my only monitor AND still be able to use the keyboard on the IBM laptop? (cant do that with a closed lid!)

haha! i fixed it! i fixed it!

For anybody that has trouble with this,

DISPLAY PROPS>SETTINGS>ADVANCED>DISPLAYS

Switch the 1 and 2 priority, make you laptop the 2 and the large LCD the 1. then you can set the resolutions and decide whether or not to make you laptop an extension.
