I have one more X41 Tablet like this [ http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=28805 ] left that Mrs. Yak is pressuring me to sell because according to her "We don't need any more [censored] spare laptops around here!". I'm too lazy to re-list all the specifics here again so just know that the one I'm selling is exactly the same as the one at the linked post. I checked. Even the same warranty date. I bought them at the same time.

I've been given two weeks to get rid of everything, well, at least what I can't hide from her! So, I guess I'm having what could be called a Pre-Pre-Labor Day Room From Hell Clearence then since that's my deadline I've been given.

I have two more like-new laptops I decided to sell instead of taking the time to configure for us, an X40 and an X60 (yep, an X60). I don't have time to post them here right now as I'm on my way into work, but I'll list them soon. In the meantime if anyone is interested in ANY of these Thinkpads please E-MAIL me as my PM box is still full. I hope by now everyone knows I only pass on the really nice stuff to people here, and that I'm not a business so I pass on the bargains I get too instead of trying to make a profit (of course I'm not out to lose money though). If I do happen to make a little by accident it gets donated somewhere. I'll do my best to post full details on the other laptops soon.

Man, I thought that my wife was getting rough. She won't let me buy, and she is getting close to making me sell.

The funny part is, everytime I sell down what I have, she asks me to help a friend get a laptop.

Um, folks, if you all would like, I have a couple of nice pants (look great with my suit jackets) I could sell y'all so you folks could possibly go back to "wearing the pants" in the house.

Tell me about it, every time i travel for work, i have to check my balls in before i leave and then ask permission to have the back.

I couldn't agree with you more! Heck that's one reason why I end up with so many laptops. She tells me about a friend or business associate or whoever that needs a laptopor three for their kid or business, and then suggests I help them. Sometimes the people I buy from won't just sell me one laptop so I if I need 1 or 2 I end up with 3 or 4 and have to either configure them for us to use or sell them (or sell some of our older ones). Of course the X41 Tablets were my fault as I went a bit overboard on the number I bought. I do that sometimes.

In any case $1299 is a price you just can't touch for a top-line X41T that is essentially new. The same model from Lenovo is at least $700-750 more after taxes. Who wouldn't want to save that kind of money on a tablet?

I'll be posting about the X60 tonight (if my wife doesn't make me watch football again... oh the agony

), but I'm holding off on the X40 as I promised a forum member I'd wait to see if we could work a deal first. He is overseas so it's not as simple a sale.

My apologies for not posting further about the X40 and X60. Two forum members have contacted me with serious interest in these laptops, and I promised them I would not post either for sale at this time. If one or both deals can't be worked out soon I promise to post the details here right away.

Surprisingly (at this price), the X41T is still available, especially after all the e-mails I've received and answered about it over the past few days. No one has sent payment as far as I know

, so if you are interested please contact me tonight or over the weekend and I'll ship Monday morning. Right now I don't know what's pissing off Mrs. Yak more... the Tablet... or all the time I'm spending on the computer answering questions about the Tablet

. Yep, I'm kinda enjoying this in a weird sort of way (as if this keeps up maybe I'll get to keep it!). Is this wrong?

I thought I'd do a bump on this thread rather than starting a new one. I like the banter!

This tablet sold, but, I have one more left that I am going to sell.

FAST!

Here goes... it's exactly the same as all the others I've sold here for $1349, and $1299... same model, same great condition (used only to test it) but this absolutely last one I'm going to sell for $1225 + actual shipping/insurance to anyone who can get the funds to me by Saturday at noon. I will be traveling a lot over the next few weeks and I can't let my wife and my visiting brother-in-law handle anything more than shipping the box, so I have to have this completed by Saturday.

If you've ever wanted a X41T Tablet I'd act fast. This is the one you want as there is none better, and you won't find a better price on it for months. I doubt ever after a X60T might come out for the Holidays (and it will be months after the launch before regular folks have them in their hands if the last models are any indication).

Oh, and I have extra new batteries too if needed (at my cost).

When you say IBM sells the X41t for $1,899 on their website I am a little confused as I see the 1869CSU model yours is having a price of only $1,599 on the Lenovo site. Does yours come with a ultrabase or other extras you didn't mention?

Please, in the future a PM to the seller on something like this would be much more appropriate, as if you value your reputation as I do you don't want people thinking you are misleading them somehow when you are NOT.

Now to address your question and eliminate any confusion you have...

I have absolutly no idea what price Lenovo wishes to charge on any given day. When I placed the post well over a week ago the price was $1899. I can't monitor their site daily. In fact today Lenovo is still saying their convertable tablet line STARTS at $1799 for the base model (of which mine is surely NOT). Following the next link shows my model at a web price of $1899, still today. Then, following the THIRD link shows a discount TODAY of $1599 after configuration. So yep, TODAY it's $1599 I suppose. I didn't actually go further to see if I could actually BUY it for that price but it's there. Tomorrow it could be $1499 or $1699 or $1799 or 1899 or $1641.74 or whatever the heck they want it to be. It's different all the time. Once I saw them for $1499 even (about 6 weeks ago). Likely back to $1899 soon until they decide to promote it again, or maybe they ARE promoting it at $1599 now because the X60 tablet will be coming out in a few months. I have no control over this. 'Sorry. But even if it IS $1599 + tax (today), is saving almost $500 on mine such a bad deal that I'm misleading potential buyers?

No matter WHAT Lenovo's price is on a given day, it's the price YOU can buy it for that matters, then you decide what the "bargain" is in your own mind. If $1225 today for a tablet with maybe 2-3 hours use is not a bargain because of Lenovo's price that's your decision. Heck if mine HAD extras it would be even more rediculous a bargain than it already is, wouldn't it?

I'd rather lose money big time than mislead anyone here. I've sold dozens of my "old" laptops here (I say "old" as some I've barely even used). I hope to pass on more deals too.

Now, after all that... IT'S SOLD AS OF LAST NIGHT ANYWAY! [censored], I bet the buyer is kicking himself becsuse if he would have only waited until this morning he could have paid nearly $500 more to buy this laptop at Lenovo.

I didn't even have time this morning to announce it was sold before reading your "question", which I felt I had to defend. You caught me in a bad mood I guess. Maybe my answer is a bit long and somewhat sarcastic here & there, but I assure you this fifth draft is FAR nicer that the first one was!!! I hope you aren't confused anymore.
