#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Wed Aug 16, 2006 11:55 am

Well, I always knew that AOL was a buch of gold diggers but isn't this a little absurd?

i was reading that this morning- its a bit off the wall, but dont you think something that rash, not to mention costly, would be done only because of fairly concrete evidence? unless it's just based on the guy who interviewed him and was told that he had buried gold and platinum bars.

The guy is known for being extremely excentric (despite being a millionare never owned a home). If he didn't spend all the money... it has to be somewhere. This does seem to fit his personality. I wouldn't be suprised.

You'd be shocked how many people stash money/gold in or around their home just in case. Not just an extra $20 in case they want to order a midnight pizza, but sizable sums of cash. This is especially true for older people. Every so often you hear about how someone found thousands of dollars in the attic sitting there for years.
