turn off display doesn't work & display won't turn on ag

Hi,

i recently encountered two problems with my t60 2007-63g (latest bios and software):

1. when i try to power off the display (fn+f3) it doesn't power off the display (it still shows the message though)

2. when I set a display power off timer in the battery management app, it turns off the display, but it won't turn on again. Only when I press fn+f7 to change to another profile it turns on again.

does anyone know what's causing these symptoms?
