problem in device manager

#1 Post by yozas » Thu Aug 17, 2006 11:06 am

Hello all nice people :)

I want to buy an x40 thinkpad from one person, but I am not sure of one thing that bothers me.
When I came to the x40 seller, I had some time to examine the notebook before buying, and I remember I did notice one device in
device manager (winxp) that had an exclamation mark or something.
The device was listed in "System devices" list, and if I remember right it was named "ISAPNP Read Data Port". It said there
are some resource problems/conflicts and device can not start.
Removing and reinstalling in device manager did not help.

What could be the problem? Defective mainboard or just some chipset or some other drivers not installed?

thanks
