How does that work?? Do you have to pull your CD-Rom out?? Is primary battery removed also?

It takes the place of your floppy or cd-rom, whichever is currently in that location.

then you have your main battery and 2nd battery.

i don't know that i'd trust it, but for $20...i bought one off of ebay from a seller i trusted for $25, and it had over 300 cycles and 1/5 of its life left. Another customer lost for that guy.

About a year ago, I bought one of these for my 600X with Japanese packaging off ebay for 40 dollars new. With it in place and with the primary battery (also new) - wifi on, browsing firefox and using MS word, I have to say that I get about 4 hours 30 minutes with both.

The Ultraslimbay battery gives about...1:30 of that time. These are my estimates though, yours may vary. My screen is very dim :?

Here is a great resource which describes all of the various flavors of IBM Ultra Bays:

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/UltraBay

According to the tables, only the 600-series has the Ultraslimbay and there is no adapter which will convert an Ultraslimbay device to or from any other type of bay. The tables do note that batteries are made for all of the different types of bays.
