I have one of my Thinkpads with the port on the right side of the lid.
I have my other Thinkpad with the port on the right side near the jacks.
They sit there all day bloody beeping at each other and I thought what the hell.
How do I actually map and transfer stuff over?
I'm using Windows 2000 Professional on both?

Here's the unstoppable business plan:TonyJZX wrote:How do I actually map and transfer stuff over?
1.) Enable IrDA on both boxen. BIOS, Windows.
2.) The ports are facing each other at a small distance? Good, then you can skip step 2.
3.) "Send File to ..." IrDA Device (donno who exactly it's called) on this box.
4.) Accept file on that box.
5.) Profit!
The last step is optional, though.
cheers,
