#1 Post by Imran » Tue Aug 17, 2004 4:29 am

Simple Guidelines

'Avoid frequent full discharges because this puts additional strain on the battery. Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion than one deep one. Recharging a partially charged lithium-ion does not cause harm because there is no memory. '

sorry but im a novice

Full discharge is running your battery down till the laptop shuts off. Used to be required with old battery technology but is NOT required with the new L-ion batteries.

The main thing is to use and enjoy your laptop. A new battery in a year or so is a small price to pay compared to now using your laptop to the fullest!

Just enjoy the thing!
