Mini-Dock resolution change on hot-swap or Suspend

#1 Post by qyetyme » Tue Aug 17, 2004 8:59 am

Hello all,

I have a T40 and a mini-dock. I have set up second display profile in the presentation manager for my monitor: 1600x1200 75hz, lcd disabled. If I sutdown or hibernate before docking or undocking, it will automatically change the display profile just fine. However, if I hot dock/undock, or suspend and dock/undock, it does not.

Does anyone have any idea if its possible to get it to work for a hot dock or a suspend?

thanks for all the good info on this forum.

There is option in presentation director to restore normal display settings when external monitor is disconnected (e.g. hot undock). The reverse is seemingly not possible.

I have the option checked to "Disable Schemes that use an external monitor, projector, or television if one are attached" I thought this would do the hot undock, but it doesn't seem to work.

I think it worked for me, at least before I installed SP2 (also I undock with closed lid. May be that matters). Have to check if it works now. Anyhow try installing the latest version of presentation director.
