Hi
I did recovery phase to restore my T43 back to factory setting.
It run well until I found my OS windows xp service pack 2 with Norton AV in Sweden language. Indeed it was T43 with SE type.
As far as I remember, I bought it /new condition/ in Germany and opened it with OS Windows XP service pack 1 in German language without NAV.
The thinkpad softwares now like energy management, wireless driver and so on are more complete than before.
I guess that this might be the reason why I cannot reach Windows update before, as MIcrosoft rejected with genuity problem.
My questions are
- Can I change the language? and How?
- Is it ok if I reinstall OS Windows German version on it?
I would be very thankful for any answers.

Changing OS
Re: Changing OS
The only way to change the language is to install a different language version. You will need the correct product key for the version of Windows you are installing. It is fine to reinstall OS Windows German version as long as you have a good product key for it, and as long as you are not currently using it on another computer. You will likely have to activate it with Microsoft within 30 days.Leni wrote:My questions are
