ultraslim batteries vs 6cell

#1 Post by ParzanM » Mon Aug 21, 2006 11:47 am

I have a 6cell for my t42. I dont really use my Rom drive very often. I was thinking of getting a ultraslim battery for my laptop.

1)Is it possible to run the 6cell before the ultrabay is used
2) " " .......................ultrabay before the 6cell?

can i choose or does it always do it one way?

Nope.

The ultrabay battery discharges first completely before your laptop switches over to the main battery. There is no other way. If you want more battery life get a 9 Cell battery.

Youch !

I paid less than US$50 including 2-day shipping, on Ebay for a new IBM 92P1077 with 9 Sanyo Cells, manufactured in 2006, from a seller with 100% feedback.

I think I read somewhere on the Thinkwiki if you pop it out and back in again it'll discharge the main battery first. Probably wrong.

But yeah, get a 9-cell.
