T40 LCD

#1 Post by redsi » Mon Aug 21, 2006 12:00 pm

Hi,

I am thinking about changing my T40's XGA (1024*768) to SXGA+ (Correct term?!). Can someone show me how it looks like (i.e. screen-shot)? I hear most of you saying once you have that and wouldn't go back to XGA.

How much shall I expect to pay for this spec. SXGA+? If too much, I rather get a 17"/19" LCD then...

Thanks

Cost wise you are probably better off buying a 19" TFT these days (here in Canada under $300). Unless you are technical enough to swap the screen out yourself, along with all the required components AND have access to cheap parts, it will cost you more than buying the panel would, and void your warranty to boot.

My two cents.
