Folks, I am trying to use a Jabber 500 with my T42 (Windows XP-SP2) so that I can use it for Skype calls. I'm able to pair the headset, but there are no services associated with it, so it can't be used as an audio device.
I've read in detail all the previous threads, if I open the bluetooth icon and select properties, under hardware it says:
- Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (Location: on IBM Integrated Bluetooth III)
- IBM Integrated Bluetooth III (Location: 0 (USB Device))
I deleted everything and installed the latest bluetooth drivers from Lenovo's web site, it restored the same settings as above.
It doesn't look like I have Widcomm drivers, I tried installing Vitearo which I found on the Skype web site and is supposed to be an application for enabling BT headset use with Skype in Windows XP, but it failed because it said I don't have Widcomm drivers on my computer.
The Jabra didn't come with any software and their web site only shows support for using the headset with a phone.
Is there anything I can do to get this thing recognized as an audio device?
