close cover switches to external screen

Hi,

I configured my T60 to do nothing if I close the cover. However every time I close the lid, the T60 enables the external screen ... the bad thing is, the resolution is also changed from 1400x1050 to 1024x768 (default for external output because of beamer)

All my icons on the desktop are disorted afterwards ... any ideas which setting I have to change so the T60 does not switch to external screen when I close cover???

Is it the Intel graphics T60 you have as I have tested this on that model?

There is nothing I am aware of that can stop the switch to external display but if you manually set the resolution with an external monitor attached (do it for any profiles you have attached) to XGA then it should remember the resolution and stop the resolution change.

yes, the T60 is using the Intel 945GM chipset.
