Hi Group,
Pardon this newbie question, but would someone explain how to use the full screen from a DOS direct boot. I find that about an inch inward on all four sides is not displayed. It does not matter what DOS program is started, Edit, Eight in 1, or Chess, - all are all 1 inch inset from the real screen sides.
The display test modes are all OK, as is W98 both in "640" & "800."
Thank you for any help,
je

Using the full screen for DOS booted 380ed
Thanks, worked perfectly.
Is there a list of consolidated keystroke commands on the forum?
My previous search of "display terms" did not turn up anything specific toward this issue.
Also is there any commands for Config.sys or Autoexec.bat that will overide this keyboard stroke on bootup?
Regards.

I think you'll need to get a user's manual for that 380ED since it appears that the functions of the Fn keys are not exactly the same on all models. FWIW, here's what they are on my 360 and 365X (which probably was the last model prior to the 380 series...
On the 360, Fn+F1 = ("reserved" ?). F2 = fuel-gauge program display on-off. F3 = stand-by mode. F4 = suspend mode. F5 = audio beep off. F6 = audio beep on. F7 = external display on/off. F8= LCD normal/reverse. F9 = high-intensity text. F10 = ("reserved" ?). F11 = power management mode. F12 = hibernation mode.
On the 365, F1 = ("reserved" ?). F2 = fuel-gauge program display. F3 = stand-by mode. F4 = suspend mode. F5 = ("reserved" ?). F6 = ("reserved" ?). F7 = external display on/off. F8 = ("reserved" ?). F9 = ("reserved" ?). F10 = ("reserved" ?). F11 = power mode switching. F12 = hybernation mode.
