ibm drivers better than 98SE drivers?

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

ibm drivers better than 98SE drivers?

#1 Post by cure » Wed Aug 23, 2006 12:11 am

As far as I can tell, my tp600 is operating with drivers supplied by win98se. Would I improve sound and audio quality by installing the drivers from ibm for the tp600? For example, Audacity does not work correctly with my machine and I am wondering whether this is the source of that problem?

Thanx.

I think it's worth a try. If the new drivers make it worse, it's easy to roll back to the Win 98SE drivers.

You will not notice any preformance improvement with the IBM drivers but yes you will be able to use some hotkeys and applications that are only available with the IBM drivers.
