Get TPwinkey here:

I'm a fan of Qliner's Hotkeys, a free & open source utility which allows you to use the CapsLock key as a windows key.

Some of the features are:

* Smart Application Launching
* Smart Application Instance Switching
* Drag and Drop Configuration using an Onscreen Keyboard
* Support for 100+ International Keyboards (making it a handy tool for international keyboard users).
* Support for Dvorak keyboards
* Support for laptop or other Keyboard layouts.
* Volume Control tool
* Clock tool
* Optionally maps Caps Lock key to Window key (handy if your keyboard does not have a Windows key or if you just hate the default bahavior of Caps Lock)

I do believe we are talking about two different types of keys here. The Windows keyboard key, and the Windows Product key. This threads subject pertains to keyboard keys (and has nothing to do with Magical Bean Key Finder). :wink:

How about using the ThinkVantage Keyboard Customizer Utility to assign a key? (I have AltGr assigned.)

I found the ThinkVantage Keyboard Customizer Utility somewhat limiting.

Unless your version is different than mine, I can only assign a windows key to either left/right ctrl/alt/shift, which would inconvenience me as I use both in day-to-day work.

I think the Hotkey interface is pretty slick, and if you forget your windows key assignment, just hold down the CapsLock key for a few seconds, and a keyboard with all the assignments pops up on the screen as a reminder.
