Screen settings

#1 Post by Vincent_k » Sat Aug 26, 2006 6:08 am

I need help to choose paneltype in SAX2 in SuSE 10.1. I have the 14.1" XGA 1024x768 screen in my T23.

Question 1.

I can choose between the following in SAX2:
"Thinkpad TFT"
"Thinkpad TFT LCD 1024x768"
"Thinkpad DSTNHPA TFT LCD 1024x768".
Currently I have "Thinkpad TFT LCD 1024x768 set". So, what does DSTNHPA mean? Does my LCD support that?

Question 2.

What colordepth should I choose? 16 or 24? I have run it in 24 before but I read somewhere that it's an 16bit screen. I can't really say that I can see any difference between the two though but would be nice to know for sure.

Many thank's in advance.
