Does anybody have a list of the anticipated specs for the new Thinkpads? Laptop size and video card are of especial interest to me.

Yes, but no one who actually has real info is allowed to share it due to non-disclosure agreements.

Size wont change - the same form factors will exist for the 61 series ThinkPads as the 60.

In terms of graphics i wouldn't expect anything revolutionary - just an evolutionary upgrade with the latest intel chipset

I hope size will change. Even X60s is thinner/smaller than X60.

Typically, Lenovo sticks with tried and true graphics adapters versus cutting edge product, so I'd expect typical workhorse video chips on the next generation products, with higher end ATI workhorse solutions for the "p" models.

i used to get what is called the "transition report" which found its way into my mailbox..

since lenovo would not authorize me as a business partner i was not bound by an NDA so i could talk, but i always kept details private..

its just not fair..

so what you all want is someone who has a transition report and is willing to reveal details..

that said, anyone who can read and i assume that most all here CAN read, it does not take a rocket scientist to add up the hints..

what is past practice will be future except that lenovo wants to really come on strong with new products..

so MY guess is quad core, more video memory, better wwan, possibly a built in camera (if every cell phone has one, why not a top end thinkpad), the largest possible HDD and so forth..
when..??
when intel releases a mobil version of the cpu..

Having a built-in webcam was a really nice touch to the Z61 Thinkpads, overall. Yet it isn't exactly the first time that it has been done to the Thinkpads (even before the UltraPort and associated peripherals including a camera for it).

Wow, the last Thinkpad that I can remember seeing with an integrated camera was in the Thinkpad RS/6000 800 Series, it was a 860 I think, and was powered by a 32-bit PowerPC CPU. That was a *long* time ago (not to mention how expensive it was!). :)

Lenovo is having a "last chance sale" on some models, which may indicate new models are on the way.

"Don't miss these last chance** products which are only available in Lenovo Outlet. Supply is limited and products will no longer be available when we sell out!"
"** Last chance/ Limited supply details: These models cannot be reordered once they sell out."
