DVD-RW (UJ-830B) FRU13N6827

Guys,

Just aquired the above drive for my r50e....

It takes ages to burn a dvd, around 35mins for 4gb.

DVD-RW (UJ-830B) FRU13N6827 (Panasonic) is written on the drive but in device manager it shows as a Matshita UJ-830S

Is there a firmware update available from the manufacturer or IBM?
