Active Desktop, SP2 and IBM Thinkpad Theme

Okay, so I've been trying to get the IBM think theme (with active desktop & activex elements) to work on either of my SP2 final machines all afternoon, to no avail. I've gone through security options in IE, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the theme pack, to no avail. The .htm file runs in Internet Explorer but it will *not* work on the desktop, which leads me to believe that SP2's implementation of active desktop is somehow broken.

Has anybody been able to get the Thinkpad theme to work on a SP2 final machine? Prove me, wrong, PLEASE! I'm begging you!
