Network icons not showing in taskbar or Network Connections

Hi-
Just yesterday the icons (both ethernet and wireless) stopped showing up in the Windows Taskbar. I went to Network Connections to try to get them back and I see that the only connection now showing in there is my dialup one, all the others are gone (ethernet, wireless, and perhaps a bluetooth network one?). Does anyone know how I can get these back or what I can look for? I am running Windows XP SP2. Thank you!
