Yeah, Averatec will always have a place in my heart, but she knows she's "Jan," the less-loved middle sister, haha. (Not entirely true, I love all my children, er, computers).
I'm an ultrasound tech that now specialized is education & research, and Thomas Jefferson University, where I work, has a Masters in Radiology & Imaging Sciences. I just figured a Masters degree couldn't hurt, and it's only a one-year program, so what the heck. Besides, any excuse to buy a new toy!
I was actually quite impressed with the quality of DVD playback via RGB. Granted, it's unconventional, but that's never stopped me before. The image took up a good bit of the 43" screen, although there was letterboxing on all 4 sides, naturally. The resolution was very, very good. One of the few misgivings I have of the X60s is the lack of S-video out. My $1100 two-year old Averatec has it, why doesn't my $2400 (before sale) Lenovo? Oh well. Cie la vie.
Cheers,
Traci
