think pad 770 error message 00301- will not boot up

The computer will not boot up. The error message appears and indcates I must check the owners manual which is on the computer and therfore unavailable. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

If you havent already, make sure you have power to it, hold the F1 key down and turn it on ( or F8 ). then go thru the set-up.
Some of the more experienced member's will reply to your post. So don't give up. J.D

Hello....

Well the IBM site lists the error as a keyboard error(whew,real cheap,and readily available on ebay)....first thing to try would be go into Bios on startup by holding F1 when powering on,as J.D mentioned,then run the test on the keyboard...if it just gives you the error and won't let you into bios,when the error is displayed,there should be a test option on the error screen,go in that way....second I would try reseating the keyboard cables,six screws on the bottom,4 on the top....
