LCD resolution changes when I close the screen

Hi,
I have a Thinkpad T42 with XP SP2. Of late (this never happenend before) I notice that every time I close my screen (i.e. I put the lid down) and open it again, the screen resolution changes from 1024x768 to 800x600. How do I avoid this ?

Hi, never mind. I found the problem.
i had changed my resoluton to 800x600 in windows and then switched back to 1024 using the presentation manager. It seems each time i put the lid down, the windows resolution took over.
