A20p Memory Problem!

#1 Post by edik » Wed Sep 06, 2006 1:16 pm

Hi
I have an old A20p with 64 + 128 = 192 MB Total

I also have some spare 256MB PC100 (and one PC133) SODIMM's that work in my old Dell OK.

When i put them into the A20p and power up, the power light comes on and nothing else!

I thought the A20p was PC100 compatible? Thanks!

Sometimes, it has to do with the chip count on the sodimm, too few, or too many, and it won't work.

I think it's called a high density vs. a low density sodimm.

I have an A20m with a 256mb sodimm plus a 128mb sodimm that works fine.
