New issue with Sony&Sanyo battery for T43 other than rat
OK, I did read a lot threads in the forum about the differences between Sony and Sanyo batteries.
First I found both batteries rattle a little bit, but I found the full charge capacity of Sanyo decreased a bit even after only 2 charging cycles. Initially, the full charge capacity is larger than the designed 51.84 wh for 6 cell. But after 2 cycles it dropped down to 50.97 wh, while my old Sony kept it's 51.87 wh even after 1 year's use with 30ish cycles.
Does anyone have the similar issue?

My Sanyo battery dropped from about 77.76 (which is the design capacity) to about 76 pretty fast, but now after 80 cycles it was about 69 until i did a reset of the battery and it's back to 72.03. I'm not sure if that's good or not for a battery, but except from that one reset i haven't done much to preserve the capacity of the battery. Don't know much about the Sony batteries except from what i read in the media lately.....so i guess i'm happy to not have a Sony battery in my PC. I cannot really compare with the Sony batteries since my current and previous PC had a Sanyo.
I may be able to ask IBM to exchage it if most people feel Sony is better. One of my friend who has some expertise in battery told me that based on their repair experience, sanyo is better than sony. But since my old Sony did a fantastic job ( I think being able to keep its design capacity for a year and 30 cycles qualifies "fantastic), I really need your guys' opinions.
Thanks for all input.

Why? You think nobody cares about battery or they won't bother input anything for this issue?bill bolton wrote:OK, you are clutching at straws!Procter wrote:give me some info
Cheers,

I only want to know other's experience regarding battery capacity, if 3 wh drop in 2 cycles is pretty normal, then I'd leave it alone.
