Bootable CD for PC Doctor available

#1 Post by rkawakami » Fri Sep 08, 2006 1:33 pm

Hi!

Posting out of my normal domain just to let people here know that I created an ISO image file of the current version of PC Doctor (2.0.1168) that is available for downloading from IBM's web site for the following systems:

240 Series
390E/390X
i Series 1157
i Series 14xx/15xx
(along with the 570 Series and 600X)

What does this mean? PC Doctor is a diagnostic program which can help identify problems with your system's hardware. The file supplied by IBM creates a bootable floppy disk containing PC Doc. The problem is, sometimes people don't have a floppy drive but they do have a CDRW or combo drive. In that case, you can use the ISO image I created. Of course you will need a program which can burn an ISO file onto a CD. I believe that there are several freeware/shareware programs available that can do this, but as I use Easy CD Creator 5, I do not have any experience with those programs.

The ISO file is here:

NOTE: All links to PC-Doctor software hosted by me are dead. Files removed 8/28/12 by manufacturer's demand.
