WTB: Pentium II or Pentium III Laptop

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Sun Sep 10, 2006 6:16 pm

After closing the deal to sale my T21 to help cover some sudden expenses, I'm looking for a good condition laptop (prefferably a ThinkPad) with AC adaptor and prefferably a working battery that'll hold charge for a minimum of one hour. The computer has to have a Pentium II or III and run at 366mhz or better. I do not need hard drive or RAM. I can go up to $100 for price. The computer has to be in good physical condition and all parts must be intact.

I have a Thinkpad A20m
850mhz Pentium 3 M
512 MB of RAM
ATI M 8 MB video card
brand new battery lasts about 4.5 hrs
brand new 80 GIG HD 8MB of cache
15 Inch screen.

$450.00 or best offer, minor wear and tear. So no sale for parts though.

I have something. Its a 600e, with a 600Mhz P-3, but its only reading 500Mhz because of the P-2 motherboard. Its got a perfect battery, it can last nearly 2.5 hours if you have the right settings. I still have the original 299Mhz P-2 cpu, but who really wants that? lol. Its got Win2k btw.

The problem though is I believe the trackpoint is bad. I don't know if the trackpoint is interchangable, but I do have an extra keyboard, but a bad connector on that one.

PM me if your really interested.

Actually, since initial posting I've managed to acquire a nice and sturdy OmniBook 4150 and even though it's only 366mhz, I got it for free (previous owner received it at work and wanted to throw it away because it was too old). I'm also out of a job right now so I can't do anything more than trade at the time. I can also write a check but if you try cashing it I'm sure it'll bounce into orbit.

Thanks for the offers though. 600Es are the best laptops IBM ever made. I bought a 600 back in September and I' sold a friend a nice 600E back in July and those machines really can't be beat in form factor or reliability.
