Vista standby/hibernate hanging

#1 Post by mamyel » Sun Sep 10, 2006 10:32 pm

heya guys, i just installed Windows Vista Beta 2 (build 5384 i think). drivers are fine, though im trying to install those thinkvantage SWs one by one to see which will work, and which will have problems.

One thing I noticed though, whenever I go into Standby or Hibernate, once i get out of it, my x60s boots up fine, and displays the last screen before i went to standby, but its just like the system hanged.

Mouse is still moving around, but there is no keyboard response. my processor gadget which usually goes up/down/up/down as processor always does is just fixed in 1 place.

Any of you experience this? and any idea on how to solve?

i have a 1702-4ET with 1gb RAM.

thanks

a) it's beta so don't complain just yet

b) use rc1 aka build 5600

I dont hvae RC1 right now, so big hassle to download the whole thing just to find out it has the same problem as before.

Use RC (5600)

RC is completely different than B2.

See my post below on OS choice.
