vista and x40 trackpoint

i installed rc1 just now. i read some stuff about how the trackpoints works right out of the box, but mine's not working. anyone know how to fix this? i've tried installing the driver but it didn't seem to work.

I installed Vista Beta 2 on my X40 several months ago and the trackpoint worked fine without additional drivers. But I uninstalled Vista and went back to XP after just several days because my internal wireless card stopped working! I hope you won't have this problem, but it's possible. Because of that problem, I will not play with Vista again until the finished product comes out!

it was working when i first installed vista. then it kept saying "can't install trackpoint driver" or something like that. i restarted and it didn't work anymore.

Well, mine worked the whole time (i.e. for several days, until I uninstalled Vista) and I never saw messages about the trackpoint having problems.

ok i fixed it. i went to device manager and uninstalled the only "!" device, which was the trackpoint i assume.

hi there,

how is vista running on a x40? can the aero glass work on a 64mb video card?
when i tried that tool from MS to check if the vomp is vista ready somehow the result was "dream on"

so, how does it go?
