For S/T: Thinkpadd 600e 200$

#1 Post by Saysana13B » Tue Sep 19, 2006 6:29 am

Its a Thinkpad 600e. 2645-3AU. I've given up on this thing. I really want to move on now. I'd like to trade for an X22-24 if you have one. We can work something out with more money if needed.

Here's what you get.

Thinkpad 600e
Doesn't run, but boots
4Gig HD
600Mhz Pentium 3 Processor, yeah I tried the mod.
You can have the 299Mhz P-2 processor too if you want.
288mbs of RAM, both stick read in Ez setup, but only one enabled for some reason.
New battery, charges and works.
Ac Adapter
CD and floppy plus the extra attachment
XP loaded on there.
New Keyboard base, comes with extra keys, like atleast 3 dozen extra, I only wanted the base but the guy sent the keys too. weird.
2 dead batteries, if you really want them to fix or w/e.
Ethernet dongle without the adapter cord
Linksys Wireless-G network card. I bought it broken (physically) but works.

The screen and keyboard are in tip top shape. There is a scratch on the cover, but thats how I got it. Physically, its very well kept.

I updated the BIOS yesterday but still couldn't run XP. I don't know the reason why, maybe its because the HD is so small or I shouldn't have jumped the gun and installed the 600MHZ CPU so quickly. I could try to re-install the 299MHZ to see but I'm lazy. Maybe this weekend I can try and fix it a little.

I'm hoping for $200 firm plus shipping for this.

FYI, I recently sold a 600e on here. It had 320MB RAM, CD, Floppy, 2nd HD adapter, AC, new battery, and also included a second LCD screen with frame/bezel. Sold for $200 shipped...In working condition.

The most you will get is maybe 125.00 shipped. Remember it is not completely working.

Anyone? It does work, I just can't get it to work myself. I mean it came with Linux, I couldn't login because the guy lost the password. I don't have the skills to get this thing to work.
