560 Batteries

#1 Post by lenmullen » Tue Sep 19, 2006 7:21 am

My 560 came with three batteries. All are FRU 46H4144. One of these takes a charge. The other two do not even light the battery LED -- no green, no amber, no flashing amber. Are these batteries so bad that they do not light the LED or is there something I need to do to kick start the batteries?

Make sure the contacts are clean on battery and computer, that they aren't loose on the battery and leave the battery in for several minutes. Sometimes, with really old batteries, if they work, it can take awile to even register with the compute if they are being used for the first time in awhile.
