#1 Post by brosen » Tue Sep 19, 2006 6:56 pm

How much POWER I will save with the 160GB 5400 RPM v/s 100GB 7200 RPM ?, I know it will be slower, nonetheless I will get more battery life, is that true ?, thanks

Why I've read the Idle Power of 5400 is 0.60W and 7200 is 0.85W, so there should be some savings ?, please your comments, thanks

There is very little decrease in power consumption to be had; if you perform power management correctly, you really won't be able to pick up the difference in battery time. Having used both of those drives in my Thinkpad, I haven't seen the battery life get cut by even a minute last I checked. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
