GBM LPC interface

#1 Post by dbyun » Wed Sep 20, 2006 10:41 pm

I have an unknown device, only one

location is the Intel GBM LPC interface

from my searches on google, it seems to be a RAID controller?

I want to make it go away, anyone know how to do this?

(My HD setting now is set to AHCI, if i move it back to SATA i get the BSOD)

Is it just me or does the search function on this forum not bring back what your looking for.....

Sounds like you need the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver

Download the driver (79imo5ww.exe) and follow the installation instructions for the alternative procedure install for Windows XP in the readme file (79imo5ww.txt). When it says extract the driver, it means double-click on the downloaded file to run it. This will extract the driver.

Thanks that did the trick! i thought it was some bios altering file so u had to do it before you format etc.

is it just me or does compatibility seem like a faster load than SATA?

i count like 4 or 5 blue bar scrolls when the WIN XP screen shows up for compatibility and like 12 for AHCI

is it just me? or wut

Great! :)

I think I have read of some users saying compatibility mode was faster (for them), but I am not really sure. I don't have that on my T42. Do some searches with the Search Button at the top of the page to find more information about it.
