T60p resolution changes spontaneously when docked

Friend has a T60p (2007-AD1), set in 1600x1200 mode.

When warm-docked to Advanced Mini Dock (2504-10U), the screen resolution spontaneously changes to 1280x1024.

Cannot change it back via display properties menu.

Anyone else see this? I've searched high and low for an answer, can't find any references to this...

Check the Presentation Director settings. Fn + F7 should bring it up. You can also go to it through Start > All Programs > ThinkVantage > Presentation Director.

I'm not too familiar with this feature, but Windows has a hardware profile saving feature. Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Hardware Profiles to see it.

presentation director offered profile "while docked", just changed profile to 1600x1200 - problem went away.
