any new T42s in the next few months?

Just wondering if we might see the price of the 2.0 Ghz Dothan chips come down in the next few months to that of the 1.5 level. What do you all think?

Wasn't there something with the intel chipset not being able to fully drive the new speedy dothan chips? Might this be resolved before the holiday buying season?

I don't think that you'll see the 2.0Ghz Dothans come down THAT much. Intel has some big processor price cuts coming this week, but I'm not sure if it included it's Pentium M line.

Intel is planning to release the new mobile chip/chipset (Sonoma/Alviso) in Q1 of next year...so it won't be here in time for the '04 holiday season, but it should be in IBM laptops in early to mid '05.
