T40 and Widescreen Monitors

#1 Post by atct86 » Mon Sep 25, 2006 10:53 am

I am currently looking at some Widescreen Monitors for my T40, which I want to use with the docks DVI Port. My goal is under $350, and preferably a recognizable name brand.

Does anyone have any reviews or opinions with regard to any monitors?

What resolutions can my laptop support in widescreen?
2.2ghz MacBook Pro
320b Lacie Triple Interface Extreme Drive
Dell 20.1" Widescreen - 2007WFP

Generally Viewsonic, NEC and Eizos are some of the best, also Samsung, but do me a favor and get a black one...

Ive heard that the 20" widescreen dell and the apple monitor use the same LCD. Is this true?

Is the apple lcd actually worth 699?

they are both samsung based boards.

My roommates have one of each, can't tell thedifference.

the apple is worth the money if you really want the look and the firewire ports, oh, and the external power brick.

the apple one has marginally better case as it is full metal not partially metallic.

it's your call if that'd worth 400 extra to you.
