Yeah, I am under the pressure from Mrs Asspenny to get rid of some of my Laptops and Shuttle systems.
These price new for about 1550 base and then there is 200 in upgrades, so that is my 1300 pricing logic. Some can save 400-500 bucks (no tax either) getting a mint one a few months old.
BTW: Im running Vista RC1 on it and it is just fine.

I am looking at AssPenny's signature, and can understand why Mrs. AssPenny is upset LOL! $1.3K sounds like a great bargain. If I hadn't just bought a T43 and a T23 (arriving this Friday) and if I didn't still have two laptops to sell, I would go for it!

I'd be all over this like white on rice if not for 2 things:
1) the wife (recurring "problem" in this forum it seems)
2) no BIOS for Merom support.
If 2 ever gets fixed, I'll gladly incur the wrath of 1.

It seems to me that that is a very good deal, a very tempting deal at the very least.
Get that thinkpad since you are in the US and you have got no wife to stop you from buying it.
T60 is quality product and among all laptops that i owned, i loved my T60 the most.
