I would like to update to Vista, but don't know if the built-in EVDO will work. Does anyone know?
TIA

Depends on if you can get the drivers and software to work. I got my Sierra Wireless 860 AirCard to work in Vista. I downloaded a Vista ready driver and communications software for the 850 AirCard. Works just fine. Only thing is, the 3G Watcher program on the desktop says debitel - which is a European cellular provider. The 850 is not available in the USA. My 860 HSDPA/UTMS/EDGE/GPRS service is with Cingular.
Look around the wireless card manufacturer's site for drivers and software. Also check out http://www.evdoforums.com/ for more info.

I contacted Sierra and they emailed me the beta Vista driver. Thx for telling me about the EVDO forum.

Not very helpfull if you do not post it.
Anyway, here is the link to get it yourself.
http://www.sierrawireless.com/support/s ... tform_id=1
or use link below and build your own download based on your carrier:

This is the watcher utility that also has the driver. just DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE!!! You'll mess up the card if you do. Asside from that, this works beautifully in XP as well as Vista!
Enjoy!
