Various laptop parts for sale

#1 Post by tfflivemb2 » Mon Sep 25, 2006 10:11 pm

I just came upon what I thought was a crate of free goodies from a friend of mine, but it turns out that he wants me to help him sell them instead, so here goes:

(2) Compaq FDD 316266-001 – Armada 1700/1750 ($5 each)
(3) Compaq FDD 254962-001 – Armada 1500 series ($5 each)
(1) Compaq 20X CD-ROM 314936-001 – Armada 7700 ($10)
(1) Compaq Battery 220324-101 - Armada 7700/7800 - [3 of the 5 lights light up when the tester button is pressed - actual condition unknown] ($20)

(1) Dell 98361 – Latitude LM/LMP Series FDD ($5)
(1) Dell 79029 – Latitude Series FDD (LX series, I think) ($5)

(3) Toshiba FDD Drives with caddys designed for:
Satellite 400 410 420 430 and Tecra 500 510 700 720 730 740 750 ($5 each)
(1) Toshiba za2319p05 - DVD Drive (w/Silver faceplate)
Model No. SD-C2502 (September 2001)
Possibly for the Tecra 9000/9100 series ($20)
(1) Toshiba Battery Model PA2505U - Portege 7000, 7100, 7200, and 7020 - Condition unknown ($10)
(1) Toshiba I/O Adapter Model PA2728U - Protege 3010CT, 3015CT, 3020CT, 3025CT, 7010CT, 7020CT, 7140CT, 7200 CT, and 7220CTe ($6)

(1) 3Com/US Robotics Model 3056 Modem V.90 PC Card (XJack style) ($5)
(3) 3Com/Megahertz Model 3CCFEM556 B 10/100b Lan+Modem PC Card (No Dongles) ($5 each)

These were supposedly working parts. I have several batteries and newer drives, and each them are still working....just keeping them for myself though.

All prices are SHIPPED via regular US mail...48 continental states only.

There may be more parts added as I finish going through them. I can provide pics for anything that is requested. I'm just too lazy to do it for such inexpensive items.

Compaq Parts

You remember the "stack" of compaqs that I was picking up this summer? I have them, but most are pretty useless (P120s and such), but there was 4 15xx amoung them. Some work, but they don't have the power cords. So I'm looking for them; does the box have any in it?

Unfortunately, no....there were no power cords at all.

Need a floppy for it?

Does the 15xx feature internal power supply like many other Compaqs did? If so, can't you go to an appliance store or RadioShack (if you're desperate enough for their inflated prices) and pick up a generic 3 prong power cord?

No, I believe that the 1500's have a power adapter AND cord. On a quick google search, I found this.

Cords

#6 Post by schen » Wed Sep 27, 2006 9:41 pm

Yup Alex,

You are correct; they have an internal P/S that takes the funny cloverleaf cord. You know.. the one that the 600 series bricks used. Anyway, I borrowed the one off of one of my docks to do work on it, but haven't gotten around to seriously searching for them. You can find them on ebay, but they usually charge ridiculous shipping for those things! You say appliance stores have them?

I was making a wild guess there since the cord seems to be a pretty standard style. If any of the electronics stores in your area have websites, I'd check them to see if you could find the cord. It also couldn't hurt to make a phone call or two.

RatShack carries the Compaq cloverleaf cords.

Updated list to include additional items, and removed a few that have been sold.
