Best DVD writer for T23?

#1 Post by silo » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:48 am

I have a nice T23 but want a DVD writer internally. What's my best option? Need 8X I guess. Is there a slot-in option?

Ambientscape, thanks for that link. I too am wanting to upgrade my T22 to a CD-RW/DVD drive for my Ultrabay drawer. That's a good price.

Check out the NEC DVD writers. Very appreciated amongst users. The ND-6650 (I think that's the name of it) has been phased out by NEC, but there is a new model out that should work. With the NECs you need to cut a notch of the faceplate to make them fit in the Ultrabay, as many members have said in this forum before. Also, you will need to keep the railings of your existing drive and install them on your new drive.
