Titanium Cover: How much weight

#1 Post by ANDS » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:49 pm

. . .does it actually add? Is it minimal in deciding between one with it and without it (with similar specs)?

There was one t*book that actually listed weights with and without Titanium screen.

EDIT: Found the answer: .22 LBS (.1KG's in "Rest Of The World Speak). Thats very comforting to know.

It is the 2511-E7U, which - according to the tabook and auction listing, is pretty loaded with features.

I owned the X series, but really felt it wasnt "small" enough for my tastes, and having seen the Z before, figured if I'm going to have some heft to something, may as well get that heft with a widescreen (I've used the Dell 700M - and man was I impressed with that sucker).

Don't worry about it...and the gunmetal gray looks good.

Given a choice, I would take the silver. I've held both a Z60 (silver) and the equivalent Z61 in black. I like the silver.

The titanium cover doesn't show the scratches like the plastic cover does. The titanium cover does get scratched however...you just have to look at it in the right light.

Yeah - I was really upset when I noticed some scratches on the silver lid after just a few days of owning my new Z60T. :(

I had placing my old X31 on top of it - thought that since the X31 has rubber feet I would be OK - but no it scratched.

I have now stuck some plastic sheeting on the silver lid to avoid any other scratches.
