Bluetooth device not found

#1 Post by marcoscaccianiga » Thu Sep 28, 2006 12:48 am

Hi all,

I have a T43p and I've just installed the ThinkPad Bluetooth with enhanced data rate software. After the installation the "My bluetooth places" icon on the desktop and the "Bluetooth Configuation" icon on the Control Panel were succesfully added.

However, the bluetooth icon on the tool bar is always red and if I click on it with the right mouse button the message "bluetooth device not found" is displayed. Moreover if I doubleclick the Bluetooth Configuration on the Control Panel nothing happens.

Pressing Fn+F5 only the "Wireless Radio" is displayed (no bluetooth options). On the Thinkvantage Access connecions, under tools, the "bluetooth devices" is greyed out.

I removed the software and reinstalled it several times but the behaviour was the same.

Does anybody have any tips for me ?

Thank you.

Marcos.

There have been a few threads on the finer points of installing the IBM BT device. Search the forum for topics on "Bluetooth Audio" and you'll find some tips and suggestions. ;)
