TP 600E CPU 750 MHz upgrade problem

#1 Post by harald612 » Fri Sep 29, 2006 4:06 am

Hello,

I have upgraded my TP 600E to 750 MHz. After I turned it on, lights are going on, fan spins, but the screen doesn't come on. No beep, nothing on the screen!

Then I have done BIOS upgrade. No success!
I plugged / unplugged the new CPU several times, but it doesn't work. No success!
I disabled 32 MB internal memory. No success!

Any advice is welcome!

If you reinstall the old cpu the machine works? Did you try that?
The PIII CPU could be DOA.

Yes, if I reinstall the old CPU, the TP works! Seems the CPU is dead.
But the lights are on and the fan works. Maybe this is not under CPU control?

Same thing happened to me when i upgraded a 390X the lights were on and the fan runs but nothing more.

Ask for a replacement from the seller the processor must be toasted.
