Thinkvantage productivity center problem

More troubles on my new T60

I used the system update utility to install updates (incl. BIOS) from lenovo, and now the thinkvantage productivity center won't start. Neither can I see the power gauge on the taskbar. I can start the power manager only from the start menu. Same goes for all thinkvantage tools. Even pressing the thinkvantage button won't work (

I am so happy with the T60, except for this problem and the fact that it won't hibernate anymore.

Does anybody have suggestions for the thinkvantage problem?
